Fight for the Sabrage Champion of 2025!

We invite you to the 13th Slovak Sabrage Championship VILLA SANDI SEK-T, taking place on Saturday, February 22, 2025, in Donovaly. The competition for amateur and professional sabreurs will begin at 10:00 AM in front of Yeti Bar at Záhradište. The competition rules, program, and registration details can be found in the attachment to our invitation.

The event’s product partner is ITALMARKET SLOVAKIA a.s., the exclusive importer and distributor of VILLA SANDI Prosecco. Other partners include AUTOSPORT SZILÁGYI and PARK SNOW DONOVALY. The competition is organized by HOTEL GALILEO DONOVALY, HOTEL RESIDENCE DONOVALY, ENOVIA, and ITALMARKET SLOVAKIA.

The competition will feature two sabrage techniques:

SEMIFINAL ROUND (for all categories)

• Theoretical part: Contestants will demonstrate their knowledge of the VILLA SANDI brand (history, production range, sparkling wine gastronomy, and service) through a series of questions from a professional jury.
• Practical part: Contestants will perform the classic prosecco sabrage technique using an official sommelier’s saber.

FINAL ROUND (for professional women and men categories only)

• The second sabrage technique is mandatory for the top three professional finalists, selected through anonymous scoring by the expert jury.
• Finalists must use a unique, self-chosen object for sabrage.
• Participants are encouraged to wear thematic (preferably outdoor) outfits or choreograph their presentation in line with the chosen sabrage object.
• The jury will evaluate the originality of the sabrage object, costumes/masks, and overall performance, including props, choreography, and communication.

Entry Fee: €20 per contestant (payable upon registration before the competition).

The official product partner, ITALMARKET SLOVAKIA a.s., will provide Villa Sandi Prosecco Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG Extra Dry for the competition.
