We cordially invite you to the jubilee 15th edition of WINE SNOW, the first mountain wine festival, which will take place in Donovaly on 23 and 24 October 2026. The idea of organising regular meetings between Slovak wine producers and visitors to the Donovaly holiday resort traditionally brings together enthusiasts of wine, gastronomy, culture, nature and hiking. The 15th edition of the festival will offer visitors a wealth of delicious wines, unique winemaking stories and original experiences. Recharge your batteries while meeting winemakers and enjoy the atmosphere, high-quality gastronomy and accompanying programme at HOTEL GALILEO****, RESIDENCE HOTEL****, ŠPORT HOTEL*** Donovaly.
Wine passes for visitors will be available for purchase at all three venues. Prior to the festival, a panel of experts consisting of sommeliers and food and beverage managers will select the best wines of the mountain in a blind tasting. The winemakers will then offer these award-winning wines for you to sample during the festival. The official WINE SNOW programme will begin at Hotel Galileo at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, 23 October, with a ceremonial announcement of the competition results (Best Wine of the Mountain). Public wine tastings, winery presentations and the festival's accompanying programme will take place at all three resorts from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Friday, 23 October, and from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, 24 October. The organisers will offer special accommodation packages to guests who decide to stay for the weekend. The hotel restaurants will serve seasonal and local culinary specialities, which you can also enjoy with a glass of your chosen wine.
Notice for winemakers: The application form and competition rules are enclosed with this invitation. The deadline for submitting applications and delivering the registered wine samples is 30 September 2026.
